Island House Beach Resort 8N

We have come to Island House Beach Resort yearly for 30 years. We've stayed in this unit a couple of times. It is clean and well-maintained. It is one of the few not been updated. The kitchen has white older cabinets and green corian countertops, but the view is amazing and what we want! The furniture and Carpet are new and beautiful. The great thing about this unit is that it has two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom, but they both have tubs, which was not ideal for my Mother-in-Law.

We had the most amazing view at Island House. The property has had beautiful upgrades since the hurricane. We have been coming for over 30 years and love IH!

I STAY AT THE ISLAND HOUSE ON BUSINESS. A VERY CLEAN PROPERTY AND THE UNIT WAS CLEAN AND IN WELL WORKING ORDER.

We had this property booked (and paid for) for months for our annual trip. Two hours before check-in time, we received a call that the condo was not available.One member was already three hours into a drive to Florida, two of us were ready to board flights. Island House offered a noncomparable condo. They made no other accommodation offers. Two of us lot money on our flights, the third spent over 6 hour on the road for nothing. Our planned vacation with a Florida friend was ruined. This i a different rental company , which is not reliable. Be careful.

The unit was very clean. It had all the accessories we needed for our vacation. We had a very nice time. The view was amazing. There are a few things I’d like to mention the would make the place more enjoyable.
1). The bathrooms need updating
2). The kitchen ceiling fan needs to be fixed. It shakes a lot almost seems it’s going to fall off.
3). The bedroom (with the blue bathroom) has a light out in the ceiling fan and also the lamp between the twin beds is very loose when you attempt to touch it
4) There needs to be a ceiling fan and a light outside on the porch.

We’ve stayed at Island house for a several years and always enjoy it. Already booked our trip for next year.

My family visited Sarasota every summer when I was a kid. My husband & I have been vacationing in Siesta Key for many years. The past 6 years or so we’ve either stayed at Island House or the property next door as we don’t prefer huge, high rise properties. Most recently, we stayed in Unit 8 North.
We couldn’t have been more disappointed. The unit itself is the most dated unit we’ve ever stayed in. The furniture is in bad shape and looks like something from a frat house. The coffee maker is the cheapest thing I’ve ever encountered and the lid doesn’t stay on which is a problem. The water pressure in the showers is good, but overwhelming. Specifically, it’s so strong that you run out of water before being able to take a modest shower and wash your hair. And the shower head is awful ...... it can’t be adjusted and only sprays at the very back of the shower. This is a huge problem when I wanted to take a quick shower but not wash my hair. The shower curtain liner is less than stellar and won’t stick to the tub. The towels are cheap and VERY old. The unit has dark blue carpet which is not appealing. For vacation rentals on the beach, tile is always a better option and holds up much longer. Because the unit is so old and poorly maintained, it appeared dingy. We paid right at $4,000 for 8 days. We overpaid by $4,000. It was completely not worth our money. We stayed in another unit at Island House Thanksgiving of 2023 which was quite nice and worth our money. This unit could not have been more disappointing!!!

We four ladies had another wonderful vacation at our favorite beach--Siesta Keys--last month. We stay in 8N at Island House because it has 4 twin beds, and 2 full baths. It is perfect for 4 ladies.

The beach is absolutely pristine. We feel that Island House is on the best part of the beach. Our unit looks out directly onto the beach from the 4th floor. The sand is so clean that we rarely see any trash at all. We love the walk along the beach into the charming town, where we often go to breakfast. In the evenings, we often walk the other direction for a very nice dinner at one of several locations. When we want to go further, we take the free trolly.
The unit is somewhat dated, but it is always clean and well supplied. We have a washer and dryer that we share with the unit across the hall (which is rarely occupied when we are there). The kitchen is equipped with all of the essentials, including a dishwasher.

There are 3 televisions, which we rarely watch because we play dominoes or cards at the card table most evenings. The table and chairs on the deck, overlooking the beach, are also a favorite spot of ours.

We sometimes take advantage of the tables and chairs outside the building and occasionally play shuffleboard outside.

Our trips to Siesta Key Island House Beach Resort are such a delight, and provide the opportunity for us to get together from long distances at least once a year. We are so happy to think of it as "our" beach resort.

Love the resort, and the great location of the condo. The decor and bathrooms were a bit outdated, but the kitchen was well supplied with all of our cooking needs. The condo was very clean when we arrived.

Great location but in dire need of an update. Bathrooms especially.

Been coming here since I was young... in my 50’s. Ideal vacation spot... perfect beach and accommodations!

Overall, our trip was once again amazing. The flights were a complete disaster & we missed out on the first day that we were supposed to be there, but that’s nobody’s fault, but the airlines. Our room was very nice. A few things I believe were outdated & no cable in the bedrooms was irritating, but it wouldn’t stop me from booking it again.

Was just what we needed for a week on the beach! We will be back.

We absolutely loved the condo for our stay! The space was awesome, the rooms were perfect and the table in the living area was FABULOUS for our nightly Shanghai card games! We would have used the lanai more if the seating was better. One chair was broken. The other was starting to rip. This did not deter our wonderful experience. I did leave a voicemail and an email for the office but neither message was answered.
